I was thinking of what to photograph for blue photos, since my original idea fell through today due to no snow. As I was driving around, I noticed 2 blue fire hydrants that I never noticed before, funny how I've spent so much time observing fire hydrants and only ever noticed one blue one - I always look for red! I'm hoping to find more :)
Me and my boyfriend were discussing the color of a blue car while driving around and I decided to take a photo of the handle, gas door and hood of all the blue cars in the Save on Foods parking lots (not extending into Zellers etc. Its interesting that not all people agree on colors sometimes. For instance, some people may find that one of these cars isn't actually blue. I think it is. Color has a personal context! I found this process really cool because as I photographed the original cars, more cars entered and left the parking lot. I felt as though I could spend a whole day doing this, or a week even (someday I will... & when I do I will be more careful to get each asset in the same fashion, creating a typology)
